If You're Not Loaded They Don't Know How to Help
The financial aid office is never any help. They look at you like you're crazy if you ask about ways to get more money for college because they deal with rich kids that don't even need financial aid. It's absolutely frustrating. Any problem you have with them is ongoing and lasts a few weeks before it's resolved. They also try to nickel and dime you any chance they get.

1 Good Thing: Snowboarding
The school has zero diversity but tries to push it down your throat that they do. Everyone is nice but 80% of the time I felt like I was in the twilight zone things were always so strange. If you're coming from a city do not go to this school. But the mountains around are fantastic for snowboarding and the professors were pretty good. Classes were challenging but I learned a lot. And the naked bike ride at the end of the semesters is an awesome experience.

Smells Like Bud
Every direction you look is beautiful. The campus is gorgeous and it's a good feeling except for the fact that it smells like weed everywhere. Kids smoke in public and roll joints in class. Weed is not a drug at groovy uv.

Some Good Some Really Bad
Depends what you're looking for. Hippies and girls that don't shave? Then you're in luck. If you're gay you're also in luck. But clean cut people are not too common but there is also a good amount here. The soccer team always looks delicious.

FREEZING
It gets very cold. When it's 0 degrees it's really hard to get the motivation to go to class. And when the weather is bad the buses are packed so plan accordingly. But you get thick blood and get used to it fast. The snow is awesome. Burlington doesn't get that much but 10 minutes in any direction usually gets a lot more. Perfect weather for skiing and snowboarding. And in the spring/summer the weather is great for cliff jumping into the lake.

No Rules
The campus says it's strict but it's not. If you get caught smoking weed you write a 4 paragraph essay about why it was wrong. And if you're caught in a dorm with alcohol you get the same thing or just a talk and a slap on the wrist. If you get caught by the police you get a $150 ticket or if you're really drunk they bring you to detox for the night and that's it. It doesn't really deter students from drinking and doing drugs.

Drunk Bus
Transportation is great. The buses are always running, even with the snow. There's our campus bus and the local bus. Then on weekends our off-campus bus runs until 3 or 4 am and it's wonderful. The security guards are hilarious. They just screw with all the drunk kids. But the bus smells in those hours.
