It's All Relative
Greek life is what you make it at Pepperdine. It is all relative to the person. Pepperdine does not particularly care for Greek life but Greek life is still very prominent. Many of the events on and off campus are hosted by fraternities and sororities. The way a person experiences Greek life is completely dependent on their involvement. Since Pepperdine is a dry campus Greek life is very different than at other schools. There is also no all Greek housing.

D+ for Don't + Get Caught
Pepperdine University is has a no tolerance no drinking policy. That includes alcohol, controlled, and illicit substances. Pepperdine students are not to be present where drinking is present, cannot partake in drinking, and cannot drink on campus. Punishments are given by a board and can range from suspension to probation, no questions asked. Most students live off campus to avoid this problem because it is still a factor even if you are 21. Just don't get caught.

It's Malibu Not Venice
Transportation options at Pepperdine are not great. There are only a few buses that run at random times due to the lack of use because it is so uncommon. It is pretty hard to get around without a car but Pepperdine does offer a car rental service at a great discount to students on campus. Of course, this is only useful if you have a Driver's License. Cabs are really expensive.
