The first and second floors are always full..you can rarely find a place to sit. Study rooms fill up quickly especially during finals. The "stacks", floors 3-9, are all silent floors and you can usually find an empty station but they're pretty creepy. Lack of outlets throughout the whole building. There is a comfy study lounge located on the first floor but again, the couches fill up quickly.

A Mix of Everything
UM is extremely diverse, there are a lot of international students, a large cuban/hispanic population, and a majority of the caucasian students come from either florida, jersey/long island, and chicago. sometimes this mix is a bit annoying/hard to deal with if you're not used to those type of people

Heaven for Snooki
seriously almost all of the guys at UM are juice heads and are probably on steroids. its very common to see guys walking around with their T shirt sleeves cut off, chests puffed out and their shoulders out wide and stiff. PIKE is a frat that is most notorious for having guys like this who take steroids and only work out their upper body at the gym

Can Be Great..But Expensive
frat parties suck. the grove is fun on thursdays. south beach is awesome but very expensive. transportation is obnoxious because you have to take cabs everywhere...its unavoidable if you're a freshman
