So Much Variety
At the University of Minnesota there is a lot going on. The entire campus consists of three parts, east bank, west bank, and Saint Paul. In all three of these locations students can find plenty of computers for use as well as libraries. Also there are a variety of restaurants and little markets through out UMN. There is a Starbucks, Erberts and Gerberts, Jamba Juice, Subway, and so much more. Furthermore there are also two recreational centers. The Saint Paul rec center has a rock climbing wall, which is open to all students. The U is a huge campus but don't worry they offer free bus transportation to each section. The West bank is the more artsy area of campus and has a lot of cute coffee shops around it. The East bank is the main hub of the U, it has the student union (with a movie theater and bowling) a hospital, TCF stadium, and majority of classroom buildings. Lastly St. Paul campus is set in a northern Saint Paul suburb and has a more "small college town" feel to it.

Superblock Is the Way to Go
There are a lot of dorms at UMN but if you want to meet people and have the typical college experience, live in the Superblock. The Superblock consists of four dorms: Centennial, Pioneer, Frontier, and Territorial. The older buildings are Centen and Pio and tend to be a bit quieter. But these are the two dorms that have the dining halls in them. Frontier and Territorial are the newer dorms that have underground tunnel access to the dining halls. I know every year is different but there is a strong consistency with Territorial being the party dorm and Centen being the quiet dorm.

Somewhat Diverse
There are a wide variety of races of people here at the U but there is an obvious majority of Asians, Middle Easterns, and Caucasians.
