There Is Room for Improvement in Valpo Greek Life
Valpo is the smallest school to have its own police force for an university. For this, it is dangerous for fraternities and sororities to maximize the potential of socializing on weekends. The precautions required for risk management are a headache that shouldn't be there. Sororities are not allowed to possess houses at Valpo; that's discrimination.

A Blast from the Past
Apart from Guild/Memorial and Wehrenberg, the four other dorms are ancient. Basically, dorms are dreadful if you're not at least a sophomore and willing to spend extra money to live in an adequate dorm. Guys have the option to live in fraternity houses, which usually saves them money and provides more control over living space.

Val-Pour-Rain-Snow
From November-March, there's typically a lot of rain and snow. There is often flooding and massive amounts of snow during this period. Once you get used to it, you begin to count the days down until the weather changes.

Outdated Operating Systems
Almost every computer at Valpo is still using Windows XP. It is really frustrating when someone tries to send an office file to a professor or colleague, because almost every student has a newer version of Microsoft Word. The speed of the computers is also lacking.

Above Average Transportation
Between 6:00 pm and 2:00 am, there are transportation vans that students can call to go from point A to point B. There is also a transportation service called the V-Line that runs set routes around town and to the train station. The train station is 20 minutes north of the city.
