I chose the University of Maryland because it has my intended major. Everyone here has been very helpful at making my transition from junior college. I am excited to continue on my journey here.

First Time Dorm Experience
This is my first time living in a dorm so I have no comparisons. I was suprised that I was given this opportunity being a Spring semester tranferee. At this point, I am very happy with my dorm experince. It is close to my classes (engineering). The whole process was easy.

Typical
The population at my school is pretty representative of the Washington DC area. Most of the students are from this area. This is a diverse population. If one looks hard enough they can find what they are looking for.
