Crime
On campus, we have large emergency 911 towers with blue lights on the top of them to call campus safety and the police at any time. Also, each student gets frequent emails from campus safety alerting the student body to any and all current problems with safety on campus or on the L. We also have an anonymity policy, where if someone you believe is suffering from any type of over intoxication and you are also intoxicated, you will not be punished for getting help. This really does help more students on campus to getting the kind of help they need from proper medical authorities. On campus itself, I feel pretty safe. However, I feel I have a decent amount of common sense to be taking active measures when it comes to going out at night to not be in a dangerous situation.

Dining Halls
The dining hall food is pretty bad. Most of the dishes optional are tasteless carbs, or flat out gross looking. The only thing I eat from the dining hall would be lots of sandwiches, soup, and cereal. Breakfast, however, is the only decent meal when there is a good array of choices. There are two main dining halls on campus, with a separate dining place that has the best food on campus, but takes actual money and not your meal plan. Everything at the market is highly overpriced, and flex dollars go quick from the lack of good food with the use of your meal plan.

Financial Aid
My experience with the financial aid process has been fairly positive. I received a large sum based on academia, which requires a minimum GPA. If you fall below your GPA, you have a whole semester to bring your GPA back up to where it should be before the scholarship is given away. Loyola is very good with giving service and academic scholarships.
