Off-Campus Housing
Living the the city is very expensive but cheaper compared to dorming. The pro's of living in your apartment include the no need to sign people in or the need to follow dormitory rules. If you have roommates you know you want to live with, I suggest finding an apartment.

Parking.
People dont drive in the city. There is a parking lot nearby but the hourly/day rate is outrageous.

Facilities.
FIT facilities aren't too great. But they are having a great renovation and will be finished when I am...graduated. Library is..okay. They newly renovated the gym!

Diversity at FIT
There are people with many different races at FIT. In my major, however, the majority consists of people who are white with few Asians and African Americans. However, the design majors have a vast amount of different races.

School Experience.
If you are looking for college life, do not come to FIT because you will not find it, nor will you find boys. Many girls here have boyfriends from back home. As it is a business/design school, you take liberal arts with design students and many of the times, they tend to dumb down the classes. Some teachers are terrific and you truly learn a lot but others are very lax and do not care. If I were to choose it all over again, I'd probably go to a normal college like NYU and study business and go into fashion merchandising while still obtaining fashion internships throughout the school year and if it necessitates, take the 1-year degree at FIT.
