Different Campuses – Because Metro is a smaller university and has several different campuses I haven't experienced too much difficulty with parking so far. They tend to have adequate parking for the students and faculty members to be able to park and not have too far of a distance to walk. Very reasonable.
Greek Awareness – Their is acknowledgement of Greek life at Metro but it's not so much out there like a lot of other universities like the U of M for example. Their isn't huge frat houses dedicated to just Greek life which their isn't campus living for any specific lifestyle so it doesn't become a bias thing at all, which is understandable and fitting for this university.
Orientation Seminars – Metro offers individualized seminars at the new student orientation where students can decide which subjects they need more information or resources for. Financial aid being one of them where you can meet with counselors if needed and get further information on the financial aid process and student requirements. A lot of students find applying for financial aid intimidating especially at first, but with the right guide it's really not that bad! Especially now it's much easier when you apply online your given the option to transfer your tax information right into your fafsa application (which I think is the hardest part)
Student and Faculty Respect – Teachers, counselors, students, etc. make it a point to treat each other with the utmost respect and consideration. Disrespectful natures and misconduct are highly looked down upon and not accepted at Metro State. This is covered right away in student orientation before attending the University and that's what I love most. Each individual is treated as an equal no matter what their standing or position/title may be.
