The Bubble of Intensity
Everything you could possibly want, all in a 3 mile radius. Hypnotist, Streaking the Lawn, Sledding, variety of Fraternity parties, great line of restaurants and bars on the Corner, exploring rooftops and steam tunnels late at night, an amazing Greek Life, a shopping mall a 5 min car ride from central Grounds, a library where you rent movies for free, and people who are just as unique and serious about life as you. Not to mention that Charlottesville is a very off-beat town, with lots of artsy coffee shops, a drama theatre, and costume shops at the downtown "mall" in Charlottesville. You won't want to go home.

There's Danger?
There's very little crime, except in recent news about that unfortunate girl. The grounds have blue lights all in seeing distance from eachother. There are police, and they care about your safety; they aren't there to bust you for alcohol, but rather help you get home with no questions asked. There's a Safe Ride program to get you home safely, and a taxi cab service that doesn't ask to be paid on the spot.

Rain and Shine
It's often very humid in the summertime, and you will change outfits at least once a day if you aren't in A/C. It also rains a little less than half the time, big drops of rain that are very refreshing.
The snow last year was Snowpocalypse and people were sledding down the Rotunda steps and making giant snowballs! We even had a midnight snowball fight on the lawn. And people streaked.
