Campus Dining at College of the Holy Cross

Blah

There is one main dining hall (Kimball) and the food there is pretty "blah." Most people get sick of it quickly. Quality and variety are fairly disappointing. Besides that, there is a food court type of place (Lower Kimball) with more limited hours that has some pretty good options. They also sell a lot of snacks and drinks in bulk. There is a coffee place (Cool Beans) where you can purchase coffee and tea, as well as bagels and some other food options. Next to that is an ice cream place that also makes smoothies. Another popular eating option is Crossroads which is open until midnight during the week. They have pizza, calzones, sandwiches, hamburgers, and a lot of fried food like french fries and chicken fingers. Next to Crossroads with more limited hours is a Deli and a Salad shop, where you can create your own sandwich/salad and you have a lot of options there. Overall, honestly food is probably the one thing at Holy Cross that is most commonly complained about by all. I think it is safe to say that it is one of Holy Cross' weak points.

Nightlife at College of the Holy Cross

Everyone Gets Drunk.

I'm not 21 yet and so I can't really go to bars. However, I was able to get into one once where they didn't card and that was a fun time. There seem to be a good number of clubs and bars in Worcester. There are clubs that are 18+. I've been clubbing in Worcester a few times and those experiences were pretty fun. Cabs are your best bet for transportation. They're not terribly cheap but if you split the cost with your friends, it's not too bad. Nearby Caro Street is the center of the off-campus party scene. The few times I went, I wasn't impressed. A lot of the time there are just groups of kids standing around outside in the street trying to find a house party to go to. Besides that, there are plenty of parties on campus and ways to have more convenient fun. Most people do drink on the weekends.

When in Doubt, Explore Campus at 3Am

There are lots of cool little places on campus to hang out in and explore; some very accessible, some not so much. For example, breaking into the Fenwick towers at night is a fun time.
