Very Big and Beautiful, but Not for the City Lover
Ithaca is absolutely gorgeous, from the leaves that change color in the fall to the vast gorges surrounding the campus. But Ithaca is is in the middle of nowhere; there are very few things to do. And of course, its damn cold.

Fantastic Greek Life, but Competitive for Girls
Cornell has a very social Greek life. The fraternities/sororities throw great parties, and do excellent community service. However, there are only 11 sororities on campus, so be prepared to wow them during rush week if you want a bid.

Great Bus Service! but Definitely Necessary
The local TCAT buses are great and run through almost every part of the Cornell campus and Collegetown. Even better, they're free for freshman! Better save your money to buy bus passes when you're an upperclassmen though, because Cornell is big and uphill, and walking is a big nuisance.
