Health & Safety at University of Central Florida

A

Campus Crime (Or Lack Thereof)

At The University of Central Florida, we have an on campus precinct where police are constantly patrolling the area and preventing any trouble from taking place. They are available to students and faculty. There is also a service provided to students that offers a security patrol that will drive a student to their car or dorm after dusk as opposed to walking alone. Their services make a student feel safe. Especially when they notify you of suspicious packages in certain garages and announce the appearances, as well as the names, of sexual offenders. Their safety and security programs are immensely convenient.

Athletics at University of Central Florida

A

Athletics

Sports are always being advertised on and off campus. Free items are usually given away at games or during "Market Day" on Wednesdays in front of the Student Union when game day is near. For football, the stadium is nearly always overflowing with fans. Tailgating is a major event here at UCF. Parents, students and even faculty/staff support the school teams at their games. School spirit is always buzzing throughout campus and teams always receive the best support from their fans. The athletic facilities, such as the gym, are amazing. It honestly has to be the largest gym I have ever seen, offering free classes such as spinning and pilates. It has an indoor tracks and top of the line exercise machines.

Greek Life at University of Central Florida

A

Greeks: Sororities and Fraternities

There are always Greek students talking about Greek life on campus. Housing is offered on and off campus. There is also a rush day where students can find out all there is to know about Greek life and whether they could/should join one or not.
