Popular Study Areas
International studies is very popular on campus. Almost everyone you meet is in the school of international service and wants to "save the world". International relations, traveling the world, and working for a non profit or NGO is a common goal for most SIS students. I love the school of SIS because all the teachers work in their field in real life and have so many connections globally. They are really busy though so you have to be persistent to get their attention, office hours are a sure way to gain their trust and attention.

DC Is Awesome
The district of Colombia is a fantastic place to go to school, not only do you have a busy city feel but you also have the peaceful greenery of suburb life. You are minutes away from maryland and virginia as well as every major political building. The music scene is awesome, every band comes through DC. And the restaurants are all really great, so many to choose from!

Aesthetics
THe facilities at AU are pretty good. THere is a great new school of international service building and most other buildings are really nice, the quad in the center of the school is really pretty. The campus is a national arboretum so there are always pretty flowers and trees.
