how bad is the surrounding area of marquette? ive heard that parts of it are awful and ive also heard that its not bad at all.

Think the "bad area" surrounding MU is focused on way too much. Having visited many college campuses, very many are bordered by some seedy looking areas. MU gets a bad rap cuz its in the heart of the city. It important no matter where you are to not walk around alone at night! I have used the campus safety shuttles if I drop off a friend at their dorm or house late and night and have to get back to my dorm on my own and they are always there pretty quick and its easy and safe.

i have consistently walked around the campus after 2 am and have never had a problem.

What are the relations like with U-Dubb? is it easy to know students who go there or is it like two separate worlds?
