Baldwin Dining Hall
Underclassmen complain about the dining halls all the time, but the food and the selection get better every year. After living off board for a year, I started to miss the convenience and variety of Baldwin. It's not that bad. For those who truly can't stand it, every student has access to a kitchen where they can make their food themselves. Fraternities have their own cooks.

Transportation
Anywhere you want to go within Albion is in walking distance. You can go four years without a car. For grocery shopping and traveling to surrounding cities, you'll want a friend with a car. Albion has a train station in downtown that travels from Detroit to Chicago, which I used more than a few times to and from my house in metro-Detroit and for weekend trips to Chicago.

Parking
There is plenty of parking at a reasonable price. The campus is small enough that anywhere you park is relatively close.

Scholarships
Most students recieve a large scholarship from the college of at least $10,000 upon admission. On top of that, many students recieve other forms of financial aid. The financial aid office is great. Extremely helpful.

Greek Life
Sororities and Fraternities provide a lot of activities, parties, and social events on campus. About 40% of students participate in Greek Life. Because so many students are involved in it, greek life at Albion College is nothing like you've seen in movies and television shows. Greek life brings philanthropy events and community service opportunities to campus on top of numerous social activities. Greek or not, everyone is welcome at the fraternity parties each weekend. If you are not interested in greek life, there are plenty of other ways to get involved on campus.

Michigan Weather
Michigan weather isn't very fun. However, with such a small campus, you never have to face long treacherous walks around campus. When it starts to warm up in the spring, you'll see everyone outside.

Lacks Variety, but Is Cheap and Fun
Although Albion lacks variety, there are some solid options. As far as night life, you will never find cheaper drink prices. Though you won't have a lot options, there is nothing like going to a bar and knowing everyone there.

Typical Mid-Westerners
Most people are friendly, polite, and dress casually. Most are from a middle class to upper middle class background and are from larger Michigan cities or suburbs. At such a small school, it will feel like you know every person. This isn't true. With every new class, you will have the opportunity to meet new people. After four years at Albion, I genuinely like almost everyone I've met.

As a Recent Graduate, Would Trade My Albion Experience
You cannot replicate the Albion community. I found the most amazing group of friends and an incredible support system. The professors love their subjects and have a passion for teaching. It truly is the people that make this place so amazing. I wouldn't trade my Albion experience for anything.
