To be honest, it is a lot of work applying to scholarships. However, I wouldn't say it was stressful, more like time consuming. So give yourself plenty of time to work on applications!

Dorm life at USC is like no other. The people you meet and the friends you make are people you will know for some time. Dorm life at USC is the beginning of loving a city like LA.
Worst food ever. I had friends who wasted their meal plan because the food was inedible.

Sure, but it depends who you find cute. The school is more or less 50% guys, and it depends what classes you're in, as some classes may be predominately male. With any school, there are probably some that you're not attracted to, but overall it's fine.

There is not much of an indie scene at USC, it is definitely more on the preppy side.

It's LA there are plenty of hipsters but not as many as Berkley, go to a live bar or cafe downtown or Venice beach and you'll find plenty
