Honors, Southern Charm, and SEC Football
I chose the University of Alabama because of the Computer-Based Honors Program, and the Honors College in general. UA is known for being very generous with its scholarships, which also helped. I love the college town atmosphere, especially on football game days. I can't imagine myself anywhere else. Roll tide!

Something for Everyone
Off-campus dining is everywhere. There is a city around the campus that offers everything from fast food to fancy dining. There is something for every budget. One of my favorites is Ichiban, a Japanese place. It's the same Hibachi style cooking as chains like Shogun and Kobe, but the food is even better at half the price!

Improving, but Has a Long Way to Go
UA has only had a transit system for 4 years, so they are still working out some kinks. The bus stops are conveniently located around campus, but the bus timing schedules usually can't be counted on. You can usually get there more quickly by walking. The transit system doesn't stop anywhere off campus.
