Greek Life Campus Effect

Greek Life is more than huge at Alabama, it is a really really big deal. Although, I must say as a student who is not in a Sorority, it has not been hard for me to make friends in the least bit. I feel bit uninvolved at times when the Greeks are hosting specific events that affect all of campus but that basically only Greeks can go to. I know people within that Greek system that both love it and hate it. It can seem very fake at times, I won't argue with that. However, there are many people that love being Greek. It's one of those situations that if it's for you than it's going to be a great time, but if it's not your thing--don't waste your time pledging.

Drugs on Campus

As you will find on campus, Alcohol isn't exactly hard to come across. The University has a pretty good lock-down on the system while still understanding that students in college are going to drink if they so choose to. We are all in college and are on the road to being indepent adults; some of us have already reached the independent destination. I have never felt pressured to do something I wasn't comfortable with at the University. The University understands that students in college drink, this is why they have alcohol awareness classes about how to be safe when drinking if you so choose to do so.
