Off-Campus Housing
Pitt does not provide housing for four years, so if you want to move off campus, start looking early for housing. Housing in South Oakland is not very difficult to get, but beware of some landlords who don't really care about their properties. Also, bring a checkbook whenever you go to see the house, because they will get taken up quickly.

The campus is not that diverse
Overall, the campus is not that diverse, but there are many student organizations you can join if you would like. Pitt is not a very political campus, but if you are politically active, there are plenty of student organizations to join.

School spirit is pretty good
School Spirit is pretty good at Pitt. Basketball is definitely the more popular sport but football games are fun also. There is no football stadium on campus and going down to heinz field can be annoying at times.
