Always Lending a Helping Hand
The first think I noticed about James Madison University was how friendly and eager the student body was. During the first few weeks of my first semester, there were some many students in my class willing to help me with the homework, the discussion, or different study strategies for the course. James Madison University definitely is very welcoming when it comes to academics, they actually care about their students and want to do everything to help them succeed.

Campus Police Safety
James Madison University has a community feeling and I am pretty certain that everyone feels safe here. The campus police are obviously on campus and the surrounding area even when they are not on duty. The police like to talk to the students one on one and try to get to know at least everyone. The Harrisonburg community is very inviting, welcoming, and a safe environment.

Definite Girl School
James Madison University was originally an all girl university so it should not be to anyone's surprise why the ration of girls to guys is so high.
