Class Registration Process – Once approved to attend school, I then needed to speak to an advisor to pick my classes. The total time it took to sign up for the classes took approximately 20 minutes. However, I set my classes up a month early. I would suggest for anyone starting at Kaplan to choose early and have the classes assigned. When the advisors find a class for you, you will need to pick a Seminar time. If you wait too long, you will not have a choice of when the seminar takes place.

Online Program – The Kaplan University Online program that you will be working on is very simple to use once you start using it. I suggest you log on and learn as much as you can on your own before classes start in order to be familiar with it. I found it very simple and easy to understand. If you are having some trouble, there are a few people you can call depending what it is about: the Professor, Technical support or possibly your advisor.

There is a plethora of information on the American Intercontinental University website. You just have to know where to look. Your textbooks are also online for the ultimate convenience to use wherever you are. Once in your Bachelors program, textbooks are then sent to you in the mail. There is also an option for tutoring for free if you need it.

This has never been a part of my student experience in the past 2 years.

The tuition turned out to be a couple thousand more than previously thought it would be. The student advisors are great with keeping in contact with you throughout the process, as well as, the financial aid department. It was a seemless task. They did the majority of the work for me.

Computer Access – I have been attending American Intercontinental University since 2010 and I have not had one issue with their website the entire time. Anytime there is scheduled maintenance I am advised well in advance and it typically takes place when most of us are sleeping.
