Campus Housing at University of Arizona

Dorming in Tucson

I dormed last year in Gila Hall, a building that was erected in the 1930's. The building was extremely outdated; my room included bunk beds and green carpet. Although the dorm was old, the people and staff were extremely friendly and I always felt safe. The activities and dining options on campus are scarce so I would reccomend having a car to venture to different parts of the city and have a variety of food. Also, there is no grocery store on campus so a car is beneficial to drive to the store or mall. To anyone that is intreseted in dorming at the U of A I suggest it, but proceed knowing that a car is a must have and parking and the cost of living on campus is expensive.

Transportation at University of Arizona

C

$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Most off campus apartments offer a daily shuttle to bus students too and from school. The University provides a "Cat Tran" which is a paid form of transportation, as well as "Safe Ride" which is a program that will transport you throughout a certain radius of campus for free. Other than that parking passes are extremely expensive and there are not many places to park throughout campus.

Majors at University of Arizona

Psio

My major is physiology. The only concern I have regarding this program is that many times the classes I need to take are full and there is not really any help available to get you into that specific class. You have to wait until the next semester. I am going to be a pediatrician and I believe that this major will prep me for the journey.
