Off Campus Options Vary
the off-campus options that are conveniently near campus aren't the best in terms of being exceptionally kept. Also any off-campus housing option that is really great is usually very expensive, even when rent is divided among a few roommates. The school really doesn't do much to help you find housing. They mostly just have a website with links to pages with apartment listings.

Parking Is Someone Average
Parking rules are very strict. If you park where you shouldn't even for 5 minutes, you will get caught and fined. I think the average is $50. Permit costs are pretty average, relative to what I've heard other colleges charge. You don't really need a car on campus if you live on campus or within walking distance. The only people who really need a car would be people who live 2 miles or more away from school and mostly only because of the winter months which can be brutal to biking and shuttle commuters.

Can't Really Think of Much
In terms of academic programs, social scene, and campus life I'd say NU is pretty average. However one of the best things about this school are the resources that are available to the students. I know people who went to other schools and didn't enjoy the benefits of the resources I had available at NU.
