On-Campus and Off-Campus Dining
On campus we have a Jazzman's Cafe and that is only open on the weekdays but closes at 6pm. We also have our student cafe which serves dinner from 4pm-6:30pm. It is really inconvenient if you are a busy student like I am. We have a place called WOW and on the weekdays they have late nights where if you have a meal plan you can use your paw card to get food from 8pm-11pm. It is good but sometimes I get tired of eating there plus the line be out of the door since everyone goes there at night. So basically on the weekends the ONLY thing to eat on campus is the cafe which closes really early. Off-campus dining includes McDonald's, Papa Johns, Popeyes, Taco Bell, Jack-in-the-Box, Churches Chicken, etc. WIngs and things gives college students a 10% discount and their food is already cheap so I go there a lot. Most of the time I order out from places like Phat Philly's or Papa Johns. The food selection around that delivers are not that great. I wish we had some type of 24/7 food service on campus.

Local Atmosphere
If you do not already know Clark Atlanta University neighboring schools are Spelman College, Morehouse College, and ITC. There is always different activities going on around campus there is never a boring day. Also the school is located two minutes away from downtown (by car) and there are a plethora of things to do downtown like art museums, Coca-Cola Factory, CNN, Little Five Points, Underground Atlanta, restaurants, etc. Safety is okay. We have 24hr cops (actual cops not fake security guards) on campus. If you want to go shopping go to Lenox Mall or Cumberland Mall and as for sports our school sports are not that big on campus, students do not support most games but they are still fun to go to.

Diversity
Well of course the school is a HBCU and the percentage of other races/ethnicity are really low. But Georgia State and Georgia Tech are about five minutes away from campus so if you like diversity you can always visit that campus to meet new people. In the state of Georgia the percentage of Blacks are really high. I usually joke around and call Georgia a Black state. But it isn't too bad.

Weather
The weather here isn't too bad. I'm from California and I'm used to it always being sunny, little rain, or a bit windy. Coming here I now understand the true meaning of the four seasons. And most days the weather is unexpected and just surprise you. It was very humid during august to the beginning of october. From October until Feburary it rains a lot and can get cold temperatures around 24 degrees is the lowest I have seen. And around March things should start heating up again. But if you are not use to cold weather do not get discouraged or scared just have a heavy coat some scarves, hats, gloves, and you will be fine.
