Judgmental but Nice
There are tons of large Greek houses. Join one and you'll get the chance to live in one. Most non-Greeks are ok with Greeks unless the Greeks decide to be snobs. This happens occasionally, but not too often. The are very judgmental about looks, so wear the right clothes to parties. They make football games fun and throw tons of cool parties.

Specific Areas to Park, Overly Give Out Tickets
Permits are pretty pricey, but they give you parking access to areas close to your dorm. Totally worth it. Bama is such a big campus, it would suck not to have a car. If you park out of your zone, tickets are about $50. Which may not seem like much, but it adds up. Its a pain to find a close parking spot early in the day and late at night.

When It's Nice, It's NICE. Tornadoes Are a Bummer
When the weather is pretty, it is so enjoyable. This year we had quite a bit of rain, which is no fun. It is essential to wear rainboots and a raincoat. This past year we had a very unusual tornado come through. It caused alot of damage. We have alot of tornado warnings, but about 98% of the time, they end being nothing.
