Weed Is EVERYWHERE
Weed is a HUGE presence at Santa Cruz. You don't realize how prevalent it is until you come here and all of your friends smoke. People smoke before class, after class, in between class, at night, in the morning, before eating, after eating, on the weekends, on the weekdays, and any time in between all of that.
If you have a strong moral/personal agenda against weed, you are going to find yourself feeling very uncomfortable/out of place.
If you are a huge weed smoker, then you will meet friends instantly.

Ugh, Csos...
The CSOs goals in life are to a) write you up b) ruin your good time and c) humiliate you.
We get it- drinking and smoking in the dorms are not the best idea. But you can get written up for playing music too loudly or having too many people in your room. You could be playing a loud game of Charades, completely sober, on a Friday night, and you would still get written up. The CSOs are dicks who want to ruin your good time and force you to find fun elsewhere.
Well, guess what. THERE IS NO FUN ELSEWHERE.

No classes. Budget cuts everywhere. Have fun taking a bunch of non-major related classes.
