Drinking Is Everywhere

For being known as UC "socially dead" I certainly see a lot of parties. Drugs are used, but the scene isnt obvious until you are at a large-scale campus dance or house party. Great Relationships With Instructors, but Curriculum Is Iffy

I enjoy the visual arts programs and UCSD because unlike other lectures where there are 300 students and the professor will never know your name, in the arts dept. you are more likely to engage with your teachers and even get to know your peers. I do not like the curriculum because everything is theory based, and we do not do much conceptual work. IE in art class we dont paint in most classes, we LEARN about the theory behind painting...not enough studio work until youre an upperclassmen
