A Lot of Opportunities
Philadelphia is a great city that has a lot of things to offer. Although Temple is located in an area that is poorer than the rest of the city, the rest of Philadelphia is rich in culture. The art in Philadelphia is also really interesting; there is always a party or opening to go to downtown.

Reasonable Apartments
It is definitely possible to find well priced apartments in the area around Temple. It is also a lot cheaper, and a very popular option, for students to rent entire houses with a big group as opposed to just renting an apartment. Most of the apartments and houses are walking distance from campus.

A Little Outdated
Public transportation is okay. The subway system only has two lines which is pretty inconvenient when trying to travel all over the city. The regional rail is really convenient for traveling outside of the city. Taxis cost the average amount. The best thing about the subway is that there is a fixed price any destination.
