Pretty Safe
I have never felt unsafe at Drexel. It's not bad for a big city campus. Granted, I commute and am rarely on campus late at night. I also don't go near the dorm/residential area very often. It is the middle of Philly, so use common sense. Drexel's police are friendly and helpful, and I wouldn't hesitate to ask them to escort me somewhere if I felt unsafe for any reason.

The off-campus dining is one of the biggest perks of attending Drexel. Seriously, if you crave it, you can find it here. There are so many places I'd like to recommend, I don't know where to start. Obviously, you can't go to school here and not have a Philly cheesesteak every now and then. Definitely try classic rivals Pat's and Geno's. Also, Capogiro on 20th has the best gelato ever. So good, in fact, that it made #1 worldwide on National Geographics list.
