City-Life and Diversity Are Key Elements.
The guys and girls at Temple vary slightly from one another. Temple is right in the city, so you won't find many country folk. Because of this, you might get the impression that people are in a rush and won't stop to talk to you, or are too "private." That's not always the case. The girls are always open to talk along the way or chat in a coffee shop, and the guys are very "boy-ish" and love to have fun and joke around or lounge in the rec rooms. Temple is a very diverse school, so the students here are also diverse and open to people of different backgrounds.

Cars Are Not Necessary!
Having a car on campus is not essential. Temple is in the city, so there are plenty of busses, trains, and subways to take into and out of the city. Cars should only be needed if absolutely necessary. It is hard to find parking along the street, so it is best to sign up for a parking pass. I don't know how expensive the fee is, but it's best to use a student parking lot rather than the parking garage.

Good Luck With Contacting Someone...
The financial aid office is, honestly, a mess. My loans were almost not applied, it was near-impossible to contact and get a direct response, and when I finally got through on the phone, they had told me they were about three weeks behind on accepting loans. The scholarship I received was reasonable, but it was nowhere near the amount of other friends' scholarships at other schools.

More Variety!
The main dining hall could use more variety within it's selected food. Chicken is almost always a main dish, and the staff assumes everyone loves mushrooms, as they tend to be mixed in with the food. Also, in the student center's food court, more registers could be open, as well as more tables to dine at.

Not as Diverse as We'd Like.
There is a large mix of ethnicity that enrolls and attends this school. However, we are a city school, and most students are African-American.

Music Lovers, Come Here!
Being in a city can be very hectic and chaotic, but on the weekends, it is perfect. There is always something going on, especially music gigs. There are some well-known clubs and venues in Philly that both local and "big-time" bands enjoy playing at. Never hesitate to get out and enjoy some live entertainment! My personal favorite is Union Transfer, on Spring Garden.
