New Campus Center
We recently received a new campus center that met the green or environmental requirements and new dining services that focus on buying local and organic. The campus center has three levels, a cafe and study spaces on third level, a cinema and a post office on second level, and full dining services on third level. I love the campus; it's a mix of new and old buildings. The campus is not so spread out and all buildings, academic and student housing, remain really close, which is great for winter. Our athletic center is adequate and has a large, indoor pool, which is nice enough to host multiple mid-west swim conferences. Our library is also a great building.

Weed and Beer
Everyone drinks, everyone has fun, no one gets busted. Lawrence is the best campus to drink if you don't want a visit from the police. Security hates police and is helpful/turns a blind eye to underage drinking. Weed is everywhere, but it's not like everyone is so stoned they can't get their homework done or lay off during final's week.

Parking: No Need to Have a Car.
If you want a car, bring it, but everything is in walking distance that you need. You can park it in the downtown in multiple city ramps. It costs $1 to get in and park it for as long as you want. Lawrence has enough parking, considering no one brings their park. There is a parking lottery for Lawrence stops, but it's easier to just park off campus. Park off campus and it's a two to five minute walk to campus.
