Academics at Brigham Young University

A

Academics

Academics at BYU are fantastic. The professors are always willing to help out if you seek it. There are the general education credits that are tedious and will most likely do nothing for you in your future career, but that is every school. Once you get in your major classes, it is a blast! However, you are required to take Religion courses as a part of your GEs. I feel the religion professors are the most difficult because they are trying to compensate for the fact that most of their students would not take the class if it were not required.

Off-Campus Dining at Brigham Young University

A+

Off-Campus Dining

I eat my way through life. It is the best way to live. There are plenty of options around! There are the usual cheap burger places (a few of which will knock your socks off). Then there are the sit-down chains such as Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc. And of course, there are the high-up places that are so expensive no average college student would go there on a Friday night just to make their wallet lighter.

Overall Experience at Brigham Young University

B+

Meh

It is a unique atmosphere, by far. You will meet a lot of uppety-Mormons (probably because they are the most outgoing) but there are the few of us who claim to be somewhat normal. Socially, there are different types of people and you will find your niche. Academically, fantastic! It is the reason I am here. Athletics are the most fun and there are so many options.
