Positive Attitudes, but Few Males – There is a high minority diversity, with many international students as well. Everyone mingles with everyone else, so there do not seem to be any segregation issues. However, the school does have a ridiculous girl to guy ratio of 5 girls: 1 guy! There seems to be high religious tolerance and diversity on campus. I have never heard any slurs.

Very Pleasant and Reasonable Faculty – Having transferred from another university, I was shocked at how pleasant, accommodating, and reasonable the faculty was. They were personable and always willing to help. They were not uptight if you had a reasonable excuse to not be at class/miss an assignment, as long as you cleared it with them ASAP.

I believe permit costs are about $50 now, which seems to be pretty typical for schools around here. Fines can easily be avoided and are not very strictly enforced, but are about $10-15 if you do get one. Parking availability is plentiful, but may need to walk a little if you aren't willing to "stalk" someone for a spot. I prefer to have a car, but many of my friends do not.

Strictness Level Is Reasonable – The school is fairly lenient. Campus security is always available, but does not go out of their way to seek out trouble. Enforcement of things like drinking only occurs if something very obviously dangerous/blatant is happening. Enforcement of things like parking is not extremely rigid, but does occur.
