Good but Expensive
The options around campus are good, but any venue can be expensive. They also do not take any coupons or participate in the franchise's value meals. The meal plans can also be a bit confusing and very expensive.

Florida has great weather. It can get a bit humid and sweaty, but most days are good.

Not Worth It.
The limited (and growingly expensive) classes offered can make your life hell when combined with the average FIU teacher. The professors can be beyond difficult, especially when they teach one thing but test on another. FIU charges more by the year, offers less financial aid, and the teachers seem to only get worse.

Good Only If You're Lucky
If the class you want is being offered, the next step is to hope it does not close before you are able to register. The professors either care a lot or not at all. Most students pass only because they have old exams

Compared to other campuses, our campus may be pretty but there are barely any activities and the centers need renovations

Depends on Your Crowd
Although the Greeks do throw parties and fundraisers on campus, FIU is a commuter university so it depends on who you hang out with and how much time you spend on campus. If you know Greeks and stay around campus then you might go to a party or fundraiser. Greeks aren't really a big deal at FIU.

No Parking, Ever.
Unless you get there very early or very late, the parking is a nightmare. Most floors are empty but don't get your hopes up as there are designated for faculty. Lines of cars can be found at every garage elevator as people wait for others to leave.
