Excellent local and area (Austin to San Antonio) bus service. And if that doesn't get you where you want to go, Amtrak is in town and can take you all over the country! Town is small and is easy to navigate by car, bicycle or foot. Everyone does what works best for them!

Texas State is really pushing to improve its athletic image and is doing an excellent job! School spirit and performance has significantly improved alongside major construction projects to get state-of-the-art athletic facilities.

There are MANY MANY places to live off campus, sometimes just a short walk away. Otherwise, bus services are great. You can find anything to fit your budget and lifestyle in San Marcos.
