Many Choice
There are many options downtown, i really like privately owned restaurants better than chains, and that is what is downtown.

Not Much Diversity
For guys, generally you either have the moronic UVM bro's, or the partying, potheaded, snowboarding boy. The snowboarders are cute, friendly to your face, but will talk behind your back. UVM bro's will probably roofie you then take advantage of you, or just destroy your dorm. for girls, generally you have partying-sluts, or hipster girls. Neither are friendly, and both are unintelligent.

Burlington Is Great...
but it gets old fast. You sort of need to know some of the cool hang outs off church street, or you end up walking around to the same places.

Very Laxed
the police are not strict unless you are a moron, then they will try and get you into trouble. If you arent obvious, you will probably not get caught. However, off campus, it is easy to get caught.

Avoid These
Parties are mainly all downtown; there are very few on campus parties. They're usually in crowded loud basements with a million people. Many are hosted by theme houses, such as the lacrosse house, Frisbee house, etc. Some are frats. But both sorts of parties are very sketchy.

Exists but Not Always Convienient
Free buses are awesome, and there is a Greyhound, an airport and train, but the airlines are expensive, Greyhound messes up a lot, and Amtrak is very inconvenient.
