Not a Big Deal
Greek life is available for all students, but it isn't something that people are ever pressured into doing. They aren't really a part of the social scene, mostly because Greek housing isn't available. And all of the fraternities and sororities were originally created for a public cause and they stick to that cause through events and fundraisers. They are hard work, but look good on resumes.

Public Safety Is Not Cool
Basically, don't do anything illegal on campus. People get written up all the time for underage drinking or for smoking pot or something. If you get written up, then you're supposed to go to an alcohol abuse/awareness class, which is just a pain in the butt. And if you're written up and you're heavily under the influence, then you run the risk of being sent to detox on top of being written up and sent to the class. But, if you do everything off campus, then you're fine.

Sunny San Diego
The city really lives up to its name of "Sunny San Diego." People can wear shorts and a T-shirt and be warm in December. It rains only a couple of days each year, and never very hard. Fog is pretty common in the morning, but it usually clears up by mid-morning. Sunny skies are prevalent. It's awesome.
