Computers at UM
I can find a computer with internet almost anywhere on campus. Each dorm building has its own lab, the library has two floors full of computers that are easily accessible and always available except for maybe during finals week. There's also a small computer lab in the UC (University Center) which always has at least one free computer, but no printers. In the communications building, where most of my classes are located, there are three computer labs that boast both Mac and PC's, loaded with all the software we need: FinalCut Pro, FinalDraft, and anything else we might need. We can get wireless internet anywhere on campus, and it's very fast. And the printing system couldn't be easier. Just find any campus computer, and there'll be a printer next to it where you just slide your card and print.

Always a Party Somewhere
You could say kids at the University of Miami are into partying. There's always a party going on somewhere, and in a vibrant city like Miami, it's not hard to find something to do. The Grove is only a few blocks away, and it's the premier hangout spot for young students looking for a good time. There's a lot of clubs in Miami that are 18 and over, but I would be lying if I said no one had fake ID's to go drink and party at the more grown-up places. In any case, students that live off campus frequently have parties, and of course sororities and frats do too. Students usually get around either by taxi or the famous "Drunk Bus" shuttle that the school provides, which takes students down to South Beach and other locales.

All About the U
I've felt pretty at home at UM. Maybe it's because I've lived in Miami for half my life? I love the city, and I love the University. The people are fun, I enjoy my classes, the campus is beautiful, and there's always something to do. My involvement has been pretty superficial because I live far from campus, but if I had to do it all over again, I would still choose UM because it's a quality school. All the resources we need to learn are provided here.
