Difficult but Malleable
You choose your own classes online and can override if they fill up. Plenty of research options and special topics courses exist for upper level students. Classes are tough and most students avoid going over 15 hours due to work load constraints. Many of the engineering degrees have understandably high ratings from sources of critique. Professors are usually helpful, as are TA's. Online resources and extra help sessions and locations extend the methods one could use to understand material.

This Is Why I Want to Transfer
Most of the dudes are either socially inept nerds who flaunt their weirdness or dudes who try to cover it up by going greek or drinking heavily. Girls are often pretty but highly outnumbered and the ratio of good looking girls to unattractive girls sits around 1:2. Also most girls are greek and unwilling to affiliate with non-greek males. It is not uncommon for girls to be very demanding thanks to the 60%/40% ratio and to possibly have other males on the side, simply because they can.

Greeks Ruin College.
Most greeks completely isolate themselves from non-greeks by only hanging out with members of their particular organization. If you want to be friends with them, you have to rush them and drink with them and let them haze you or you can forget it. Non-greeks are nearly unable to party and thanks to the overwhelming nerdy nature of Georgia Tech, those who wish to enjoy social lives while not being greek struggle to do so.
