Northeastern University Weather was reviewed by bcalegari

NU doesn't have great weather year round. Chances are you will be in Boston in the summertime for coop or summer classes, and Boston in the summer is very pretty. But if you come to Boston and are expecting SoCal weather.. you should have looked at a map before applying to schools.

but I feel even if you're used to sunny weather you could get used to the freezing cold??? are the rooms heated enough so that after awhile you feel hot?

I'm from New England so I'm used to the cold, and every dorm has heat. Outside isn't that pleasant though.

Being from Swampscott, a suburb of Boston, I prefer cold to heat. That said, it seems like weather is a dumb thing to complain about

If you want a good location, you'll have to drop a grand at least just for yourself. If you don't mind living out on Mission Hill it's a little less expensive and nicer living. Pretty easy to get (and sublet) an apartment whenever you look, even though realtors around NU try to get you to put money down by April for a lease in September. Try not to get suckered into it and do your research.

someone just told me about Mission Hill today...its just right outside of Boston right?

Oncampus parking is unbelievably expensive. Most people who go to this school make enough cash so that if they have a car they can probably get their parents to front the cash for a space. I can't imagine why you'd need a car in a city like this unless you want to head up north to ski or board.

Northeastern University Campus Dining was reviewed by bcalegari

There are a three different dining halls as well as a ton of places to use Husky Dollars. The variety isn't bad, and when you count all the options off campus it's pretty hard to complain. Not to mention our student center is essentially a food court with a $50k yearly subscription price.
