Well-Rounded Students
As a liberal arts institution, Boston College offers a variety of courses and students are required to complete certain core courses despite whatever major they may choose. These courses let students become well rounded. Workload varies by subject, but excellence ( getting As) is something most students strive for.
Professors are usually approachable and available for help. There is a tutoring center as well. O'Neil and Bapst Libraries are very popular study areas.

Bcbus & T = Convenient & Cheap.
The BC shuttle( free) takes you to most off-campus residences, including Cleveland Circle, which gives you easy access CVS, bars, and fast food options like Bolocco and Eagle's Deli. Cleveland Circle is also close to the C and D lines, part of Boston's "T" train/subway system. The T cost 1.70/ride with a charlie card. Students can get discounts on semester passes if they plan on going into Boston frequently.
BC is also close to the B line which leads you downtown, past Boston University. The city of Boston is a quick 20-30 minute T ride away!

Its New England, What Do You Expect?
College Tours usually happen in the Spring or Fall because that's when campus looks its best ( and the campus is beautiful). Those are the two best seasons in New England.
The winter is very cold, with lots of snow ( usually) but since most students live on campus, or conveniently close to campus ( if they live off campus), then BC rarely shuts down due to snow storms.
However, the maintenance staff usually do a good job of cleaning snow and ice to make it safe for students and staff. Just wear lots of layers.
