Greek Life Dominates

Vandy social life is dominated by Greek row. Frat parties and Greek tailgates reign supreme, and everybody goes to at least a few. There are other social opportunities and parties, and even a bit of anti-Greek counterculture if you look for it. The bottom line is that if you want a party-hard Greek scene, you will not be disappointed. But you don't have to participate in Greek life or go to Greek parties to be happy at Vandy, and that's what counts.

Nighttime Transportation Only

Vanderbilt's campus is small enough that there is no daytime student transportation--you're expected to walk or bike to class during the day. At night, there are Vandy Vans that circulate between residence halls that do a pretty good job of making the party scene bearable during bad weather.
