Plenty of Choices, Some Discounts
At the beginning of the semester, coupon books are handed out and those have many discounts but they are usually to lesser known places.

All Sorts of Weather
It's usually pretty warm compared to the rest of the country. Mild winters with a few snowstorms in January and February. There's not a lot of rain, which is good for enjoying outdoor activities when it's warm.

Not Much Out of State Tuition Help
I thought with my grades and ACT/SAT scores, I would get more financial aid than expected. I came to find out that OU does not have any sort of out-of-state tuition waivers like some schools, such as the University of Arkansas, offered some of my friends.
