Many Ways to Get Around
Northern offers many free services to get around. We have the Bus line that is free for all Northern Students which will take student from residence halls to academic buildings within 15 minutes. The buses will also take to to the shopping area (Target, Walmart, etc.) Also, you can rent a bike basically for free.

Personally I would rather be in Florida but its not that bad I guess. It gets extremely cold in the winter and super hot in the summer. But the in between months aren't bad.

So Much Going on a NIU
All athletic games are free for NIU students, which is awesome! The library has over 2 million books and has good hours and the service is great. During finals week there is actually free massages given out to destress. There are over 200 different organizations at NIU.

NIU Is Great
There is always something going on at NIU. Whether it's a Rec party or if your old enough a visit to one of the many bars, there is something to do. Also, we have a free service called the late night ride that will come and pick you up from where you are, no questions asked, and bring you back to the residence halls.
