Solid Network and Wireless Access, Questionable Printing
The computer labs at Tufts are really nice. They have lots of programs and I use all of the Adobe Creative Suite ones there for my job graphic designing for Tufts Dining. If you live downhill, it's a bit of a trek up to the main computer lab in Eaton, but hey at least you won't be gaining that Freshman 15. I'd suggest bringing your own printer because printing can be hard to figure out in the lab or in the library. The network almost never goes down and it's not slow at all. I haven't been anywhere on campus wher there's not wireless access. I HIGHLY suggest bringing your own computer - helps a lot with taking notes in class and makes your trips to the computer lab less frequent.

Brilliant Transportation - Easy and Inexpensive.
As a freshman without a car, I'd say that it's very easy to get from Tufts to anywhere in Boston or even Davis Square. From any downhill dorm, Davis is about a ten minute walk, but if you don't feel like walking, you can catch the Joey (bus system) there which is on a 20-25 minute loop. Once in Davis, it's really easy to hop on the T and go into Boston to explore the city, grab a meal or meet friends. You definitely need to get a Charlie card for the T as soon as you get to Tufts: they're like subway gift cards that you put money on and use every time you enter the T system. Subway fare isn't costly (it's 30 cents less every time with a Charlie card!)If you need to get somewhere a little farther away than Boston, you can take the T to the airport or to a commuter rail. As for transportation within Tufts' campus, it's unnecessary. No where on campus is farther than a 15 minute walk.
