The student body is diverse with members from all over the world. Most appear to be working and attending university at the same time. Because we don't physically see each other - we are not always privy to ethnic, economic, political or religious ties unless someone chooses to disclose that information in a discussion posting. When people do share this information - everyone else seems appreciative to learn about their views and experiences as it tends to help others understand and appreciate insight that we might otherwise not be exposed to.

I have really enjoyed taking online courses. I have found that I receive more teacher feedback as well as more interaction between students and the instructor. All of my instructors have been readily available one way or another which is rare with face-to-face courses. The workload is definitely there - which is appropriate for the degree - however the fact that I don't have to drive anywhere and I have the flexibility to interact when I am able - makes up for it. Walden offers 24 hour online support and chat which other universities don't - which is an even greater feature and support. They also have various layers of support which are set up to periodically check on you and your progress which is also designed to help you succeed.
