Central College Facilities was reviewed by bensone2

Inside Scoop – Central College is unqiue in it's academics because since it is such a small school, it has the ability to have small class sizes generally about 25 students per class. This is highly beneficial because students are able to get to know each and every professor on a 1:1 basis. When walking through campus you are most likely going to know almost every student, professor, and other faculty that walks past you. It gives you an awesome feeling of community and support. Also because Central is a small college and is located in a small city, there are not a lot of off-campus activities available, but the Student activities board does an excellent job of scheduling and booking a wide variety of shows, musicians, comedians, as well as a wide variety other things for students to do on campus.
The facilities at Central are top notch. The athletic facilities has something for everyone. It is not only available for athletes and those in a sport, but also any other student on campus as well as the entire Pella community.

Central College Transportation was reviewed by bensone2

Central College is a small private college. Because it is so small, there is really no need for that much transportation. If there is a need, there is 24/7 campus security that can take you where you want whenever you want. If you need to go into town, it is easier if you drive your own car or borrow a friends.

Central College Off-Campus Housing was reviewed by bensone2

At Central, there is only a small proportion of student's that live off-campus. It helps to create a strong sense of community. Most of the student's have classes together and then might live on the same floor as well. It helps to create stronger bonds and relationships.

Central College Weather was reviewed by bensone2

The weather at Central fluctates a lot because it is in the state of Iowa. When you get there in the fall it will be fairly warm. Some of the dorms do not have air conditioning and in that case you would want to bring a fan for those hot days. During the winter, there is a decent amount of snow, but because campus is not very large, walking to class is not that terrible. You just have to bundle up and go. In the spring it tends to be pretty rainy and so often an umbrella might be necessary for walking to class without getting wet. Once it starts getting warmer again in the spring, everyone starts laying outside and hanging out by the pond.

Central College Parking was reviewed by bensone2

At Central College, there is no need for a car besides driving to and from home and maybe to go into town to pick up some groceries. Otherwise, there is no need. Every academic and athletic building is well within walking distance to and from any dorm or housing building. There are parking lots that have spots that are designated depending on where you live and what year you are (amount of credits). Tickets are often given by campus security to those who choose to park in a lot or spot that is not theirs and if you leave your car on a street over the alloted times. Overall do not bring a car unless it is absolutely necessary.

Central College Diversity was reviewed by bensone2

Central College accepts a variety of different students in a variety of ways. Even though Central is affiliated with the Reformed Church of America, there are a lot of different religions that can be seen on campus. There is even a religion major and courses offered in a variety of subjects, ranging from Christianity to Buddism. Another group that can be seen widely on Central's campus is The Gay-Straight Alliance. In our changing world today, it is fairly common to see more and more people coming out, but not all are accepted. On Central's campus there are many events and activities being done to try and bring equality to all people of all sexual orientations. Another type of acceptance can be seen in race. Overall, Central is not a vary diversity college when it comes to ethnicity. I mean, yes, there are people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, but probably not as many as you would see at a public university. Even though there is only a small minority population, Central does a very good job of making them feel equal and there is never a time when you see discrimination because of race.
