Wifi All Ova Da Place!

There are some really nice engineering computer labs I have been in. The campus wifi is called AirBears and works really well all over campus. We also get wifi in the dorms which is fast most of the time, it's faster in some common rooms/study lounges than in people's bedrooms. I definitely recommend a personal computer, and a personal printer is convenient, though probably not necessary, many of my homework assignments are submitted online or via email.

A Very Mixed Bag

I had fairly low expectations of finding attractive people at Cal, but was very pleasantly surprised to see the reputation was not completely true. Being en engineering major, I had extra low expectations of finding cute eye-candy in my classes, but there are actually a fair-sized handful of attractive boys in most of my classes. You'll find most of the good looking guys in the Greek system or athletics, but there's a sprinkling of them throughout the school as a whole.

As for social skills, it a very mixed group as well. Some people can hardly formulate sentences in conversation, but other are really friendly, normal, and outgoing. We really have all types here. On any given night there's people studying in the library and some out drinking, so there's every option.

How people dress is diverse too. A lot of hipsters, but not as many hippies as I was expecting. A lot of people just walk around in jeans and a Cal sweatshirt. It's a pretty casual vibe.

We Have It All

We really have everything you could ever want. Everything a big school has to offer - stuff going on all the time, athletics, Greek life, school spirit, ten trillion different student organizations - and you can always find your own smaller community. It isn't scary big either, I see people I know all the time when I'm on campus.

There is always so much going on around campus, whether its a protest, some kind of student-group-organized event, frat parties, or just all the amazing restaurants and shops downtown.

Everyone here is so interesting and friendly (for the most part, some people lack the social skills to be friendly, but there's enough chill people to balance it out so it doesn't matter)
