Endless Shops and Restaurants
Pittsburgh is such a great city with so much to do. Walking down the main strip by the school there is an abundance of restaurants and shops catered mainly toward the college students here. Then there is public transportation(free to college students) that can take you out to anywhere you'd want to go. The waterfront is full of fun shops, but my favorite place is the Strip District where you can find shops full of homemade things from jewelry to hats and scarfs. It's a great place to spend a Saturday, plus there are fresh vegetables for cheap.

Greeks Aren't Huge
Greek life at the University of Pittsburgh is different than I've seen it anywhere else. Greek life only makes up a small portion of campus, so you don't have to join to feel like you're part of something. The main times you hear about the greeks are when they are doing something for their various philanthropies.

Available but Confusing
I transferred to the University of Pittsburgh and was a little confused about the financial aid process throughout. I didn't know which forms were needed and which weren't. Even such I was able to get a decent scholarship.
